Dorothy's still unconscious. When they reduced her meds this morning, she was being very active. Both sides of her body are moving independently and well. She even reached up with her right hand and tried to pull on the respirator - which shows cognitive awareness. We continue to see only positive progress. Her vital signs are strong, and her nurses are just wonderful.
Mikele says: We are so grateful for the Atascadero Fire, Police and Paramedics who saved Dorothy's life. Now we're fighting for her future. She wouldn't have had one without them.

Dorothy-
I know that you will be missed by everyone at school. I hope you get to hear this soon, and that you come out of ICU. I will pray for you, your family, and your recovery. If there is anything I can do to help please let me know.

Hi Hushing-Klines! The Wilsons, Vance, Athena, Christopher and Andrew send their love and prayers plus encouragement from our similar story of my brother's 19 year old daughter, Carly who was hit by a car while she was walking on the side walk in Denver. Head trauma, brainswelling, induced coma then waiting...waiting til 3 months almost to the day she awoke. Carly is back to normal with a full recovery! back to school...good cognition, same funny sense of humor...Dorothy is in good hands...and God is with her! all our love and prayers! love athena and family

Dana was the one that told us about Dorothy. Our family is praying for God's merciful Hand to pull her through and bring glory to His name. I know your family will grow closer to our precious Lord through this horrendous trial.
We are here when you need us.
