Mikele just learned of a "tiny little setback". The oral surgeon came to check her tongue, and discovered that she has a minor jaw fracture. She may also have a broken orbital bone, which is beside her nose. They're getting her into a CAT scan tonight, and if the neuro surgeon clears her, they'll do surgery tomorrow, and her jaw will be wired shut for awhile.
Mikele says this answers some questions, about why her damaged lip didn't seem to hurt (it was numb from the jaw damage), and why she's been moving her jaw funny, side to side lately, experimenting with why it felt weird. You can't tell to look at her from the outside, but the oral surgeon noticed a lot of swelling on the inside, and when he touched her nose, she really winced.
It sounds like these complications will probably cause a delay in the move to rehab.

Doh...well, at least they caught it and can hopefully start dealing with it tomorrow.
Oh, and just as a little update on me for Dorot: I randomly got a new phone because my dad's broke and he said he's take mine. So, he's really pretty and black and named Lucius. He looks like he's going to shank someone. He's like those razors, except a little too chubby to be a razor. XD
I thought you would enjoy that I named him Lucius, hehe...
We're keeping it going here in Arizona! Great to hear how well you are doing! Hang in there.

Woah, just as a side comment...I'm pretty sure that's me in the background of the picture on this post. Weeeiirrddd XD
And that reminds me, I totally should've brought the pictures I printed last night. I have a collage thing of me, a funny picture of Alanna, another funny picture of Alanna and Dorot, and this really pretty picture of Dorot. I should bring them by tomorrow. Silly me.
Hi Bob,
I was late learning about this terrible accident. Sunday night via news I heard the name "Dorothy Hushing-Kline" I knew instantly that was your baby. I knew instantly to start praying and our family has done so ever since. I got this blog address from Jill Holden. I just wanted to stop by and say hello and we are committed to prayer for your family. Isn't God good?! I was so glad to hear of Dorothy's progress. Take care.

Hi Bob, This is a message from Anne at ASH. I learned of the accident on Wednesday. With Ricky and Bandit I am praying for Dorothy, you, and your family all the time. Of course you know that Labradors love situations like this and they will be super happy to know that Dorothy is on the mend. If you ever need anything, like errands or labrador kisses for Dorothy let us know. Till then we pray and read. Anne, Ricky and Bandit
Prayer chains are fired up. All my love, Maureen Carrubba

Hey Dorothy
I know you dont know me but i am Rachelle Layugan. I was one of the first people that was there. I saw the whole accident and it was so scary to me, it made me realize how fast things can happen. Since the accident i have been so worried about you and i have been praying for you and your family. I am so thankful that youre still here and i read all the blogs and it sounds like your doing better everyday i am glad to hear that. I will still pray for you. Hope you will feel better and get back to school soon. I would really like to meet you someday. :)

Hey, we are all cheering for you to make it through to rehab and back to us! You've gotten this far. We know that you can get through it all!
I've been keeping notes in our French and History classes of what happened so you will understand at least a small amount of what you missed. Anytime you want the summaries, just let me or one of our friends know. Good luck, Dorothy
