Yesterday we met with Dorothy's Oral Surgeon. He checked the braces which connect her top jaw to her bottom jaw, and confirmed they didn't need to be tightened. Yea! He did an x-ray, so Dorothy and I got to see what it looks like in there. Yikes. Although she is healing well, it's easy to see where the main break is/was in her jaw. The doctor said that it will be another three weeks, with weekly appointments between now and then. Good thing we have an industrial strength blender!

Dorothy's grill

Deny saw the story on the web and sent it to me. He's going to contact you soon, but I just wanted to tell you how happy we are that Dorothy is on the mend, and that she is home again. It is a parent's worse nightmare when their child is severely hurt like that. You must be very grateful that it wasn't worse. Our thoughts are with you and the family. Hopefully, we can make it up that way this year and meet Dorothy in person.

I'm glad to hear just 3 more weeks with the braces. I want to make you a choc pie before I leave for Mass. of course, I suppose you can always freeze it. but you will need to have your braces off to fully enjoy it. Hope your having a great week at home Dorothy, let me know if you and your family need me. I'm just around the block ( sort of)
